About Me

I'm still trying to figure myself out. Luckily my Wonderful Maker has a user's manual for my life. Or else I would be dreadfully and hopelessly lost.

Psalm 27:13-14

I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

There is grace
Enough for us
And the whole human race.

Such beautifully simple lyrics, but with such joy!

This morning I was going through my QT and I read Psalm 30, which, to me, is also a joyful response to truly amazing grace.

The subtitle of Psalm 30 reads: "A psalm. A song. For the dedication of the temple. Of David."

For me, that temple means us, our bodies which are temples of the Holy Spirit.

I feel like this Lent season, I've already stumbled a bit. It's not necessary that I've Stumbled on StumbleUpon or that I've gone onto Weird Asian News to browse, but I've picked up other nasty habits, like Bubble Spinner/Bubble Shooter. I feel like those "innocent past-times" have become not-so-innocent substitutes.

As I was reading Psalm 30, though, the psalmist just expresses such joy over the grace that God gives us. He is our capable doctor.
Psalm 30:2: "O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me."

He is so quick and willing to forgive.
Psalm 30:5 "For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning."

And Psalm 30 ends on such a joyful note:

"You turned my wailing into dancing;
You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
That my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever."

Praise Him! He is so good!
